Auto ID connects a barcode or QR code to an individual asset record in Rugged Data.
On the first visit, the technician scans the code on the asset or its fixed location and links it to the correct asset in the app. The ID is then saved against that asset record for life.
On every future visit, the technician simply scans the code. Rugged Data immediately identifies the asset and displays its details, allowing the technician to begin the inspection or maintenance task with confidence.
And, because the information comes directly from The Hub, relevant asset details can also automatically populate the technician’s job form. Reducing typing, errors and creates a more consistent record.
